Assistant Accountant


Our client is a leading software company based in Dublin North who currently require an Assistant Accountant to join their Finance team


Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for the deliver accurate and timely management accounts to the Corporate HQ and all other financial objectives.

Maintenance of the complete balance sheet and profit and loss account as well as overall compliance with internal company procedures and controls and with local statutory regulations.

The Assistant accountant will liaise with other financial departments, including AR, AP, PO, Tax, Payroll, Treasury and HR in order to meet all objectives.

Specific responsibilities include

Ensuring deliverance of accurate and timely management accounts in accordance with Corporate HQ guidelines and procedures

Maintenance of the General Ledger Providing variance analysis to Corporate economics and Corporate finance departments

Supporting Corporate HQ with any ad hoc information or data requests

Ensuring compliance with internal control procedures and Sarbanes Oxley Law

Assisting in the preparation of local statutory accounts and dealing with local audits

Ensuring compliance with local statutory regulations, notably VAT and audit requirements

Participation in projects such as Post Merger Integrations (PMI) as part of M&A deals


Part qualified accountant ACCA/CIMA/CPA/ACA Experience as an assistant accountant in a multinati35000-40000nal organisation Working in a commercial environment will be considered an advantage. Solid accounting skills & accounting understanding Working knowledge of Oracle or SAP or similar accounting systems Advanced Excel skills Knowledge of US GAAP will be considered an advantage
